LEARN LINOCUT PRINTMAKING | AGES 16+
In this class, students will embark on an inspiring journey into the world of relief printing. Students will unlock their creative potential through methods that resonate with their unique aesthetic and conceptual visions. This class welcomes students of all levels. Prepare to immerse yourself in the art of printmaking! All materials included.

BLACK HISTORY PRINTMAKING | AGES 13+
Elizabeth Catlett, Kara Walker, Jacob Lawrence, Kerry James Marshall, Faith Ringold - to just name a handful of the many African American artists who have helped change the course of art history! In this relief printmaking workshop, students will learn the basics of carving, registration, printing with and without a press to create a portrait or narrative linocut print inspired by Black History Month and then many artists and individuals who have helped shape the course of history. Students will carve a block and print in class leaving with a small edition of their piece! No experience necessary.

ACCORDION BOOKS | AGES 13+
Curious about book forms? This beginning course will discuss various structures books can take while specifically exploring the Accordion Book form. Students will learn the basics of creating hardcovers and variations on the accordion structure while walking away with their own handmade book(s)! Students can bring their own decorative papers to use, while also having materials provided! No experience necessary!

BOOK ARTS - SADDLE STITCH & ACCORDION BOOK FORMS | AGES 13+
Curious about book forms? This two-day workshop will introduce a variety of structures and book forms while focusing on Saddle Stitch and Accordion bindings. Students will learn how to assemble and bind their own small sketchbooks, learning about signatures, paper folding, and saddle stitch binding - as well as accordion book forms with hardcovers for creating decorative artist's books! Most materials are provided, but students are welcome to bring their own decorative papers to make book covers! No experience necessary, just bring your ideas and creativity!

CREATIVE COLLAGE | AGES 13+
Collage is an accessible and underrated medium - a process that is used in a variety of industries, from design, film, and music, and of course, visual art. Collage has been a major part of the creative practices of celebrated artists like Andy Warhol, Pablo Picasso, Henri Matisse and Eric Carle. In this workshop, students will explore various methods of image making through collage and mixed media while discovering all the interesting things that happen when juxtaposing diverse imagery, both found and original, to create unique artworks. Materials included, but participants are free to bring old books, magazines, and other materials to use. No experience necessary, just bring your ideas and creativity!

POWER OF THE PRINT: Mini-Day Camp | age 8-13
In this one-day camp - participants will learn all about the medium of printmaking! From relief prints using foam plates, sun prints (cyanotypes), small screenprints and more, campers will leave having harnessed the power of the print! Campers can bring shirts to print on and customize - otherwise all materials are provided. No experience necessary. Bring lunch and snack!
