Printer’s Devil - Fundraiser Woodcut

In January of 2021 I adopted a little mutt from Puerto Rico named Kora May who quickly found a place in my heart and the studio as the Printer’s Devil at Stone Dairy Press. A “Printer’s Devil” was a term given to an apprentice in a printshop or press back in the day who performed all kinds of grunt related tasks and took much of the blame for problems. Famous former Printer’s Devils include Benjamin Franklin and Mark Twain. Kora May wears the name with much pride and affection.

Inspired by the the positive impact she had on my life, I decided to make a woodcut of Kora May, turning it into a collaborative print that includes letterpress and her very own paw prints, which make each print totally unique!

25% of the proceeds raised from this print is donated to the shelter Kora May was adopted from, FurKids Animal Rescue and Shelter in Atlanta, Georgia.
